It was shown that doxorubicin significantly inhibits activity of TFRbeta-1 dependent promoter activity and does not inhibits TFRbeta-1 independent promoters. It was found that doxorubicin inhibits the activity of components TFRbeta-1 signaling pathway, and in particular reduces the expression of proteins Smad2, Smad3 protein and increases expression of inhibitory Smad7, reduces the level of protein phosphorylation of Smad2 and Smad3. Thus, doxorubicin did not influences significantly the level of protein expression and phosphorylation of Erk1 and Erk2 - components of TFRbeta-1-independent c-myc signaling pathway.
