The effect of increasing fatigue properties of titanium alloys by controlled solid solution hardening and the optimal parameters of the diffusion layer enhancing the fatigue life at 20 ... 30% are determined. The physical-chemical fundamentals of the carbooxide, carbonitride and boride coatings formation during non-contact thermodifussion saturation of multicomponent media were established. The optimum morphology and phase-structural state of surface layers on titanium alloys, which provide increased durability, while maintaining the level of fatigue durability and long-term strength is revealed. The method of thermodiffusion saturation in active medium, containing the powder and gas components, in which regulated concentration of alloying elements is provided by both the oxygen potential of gas component of the medium and activators.
