Hydrodynamics and heat transfer in flows in the presence of vortex generating elements (the dimples of different shapes) is object of study . Purpose of the work is studying of fluid dynamics and development of new methods of heat transfer enhancement and heat transfer control in the systems with vortex generating elements (dimples of different shapes). Investigated the vortex structure, heat transfer and hydraulic losses and the way to control the separation zone in the transverse flow of the bundles of pipes with symmetric and asymmetric cylindrical dimples on the outer surface.
