In this paper we analyze the physico-chemical properties of the motor and transmission oils, provides an overview of the main types of additives to oils and their functional purpose, certain basic patterns of change in physical properties of oils in the process of aging and contamination during continuous operation of machines and mechanisms. The scheme of the algorithm for sampling oil from the study of components and assemblies controlled vehicles operated by a special program for full-scale tribological tests. In particular the main causes of falling diesel fuel and gasoline in the lubrication system of engine, the impact of fuel to replace the tribological properties of engine oils. The technique of calculating the effect of different concentrations of diesel and petrol on tribological properties of lubricants, the values of maximum allowable quality-control performance motor oils.
