A method and technique for study of localised hydrogenation of metal near stress concentrators were developed. The new special specimens for study of localised hydrogenation of metal under applied stresses were proposed and approved. The preliminary results of determination of the bulk hydrogen concentration in steels Х52, 20 and 16ГС with taking into account of the peculiarities of physical and chemical conditions of their hydrogenation are presented.
