Object of research is the relationship between tax authorities and taxpayers, whose content is the interaction of these entities together, which is manifested in organizational, legal and socio-economic forms of relationship. The purpose of the study - the deepening of theoretical and methodological foundations of knowledge of the phenomenon of tax administration and development of scientific and practical recommendations for improving the efficiency of tax administration processes in the bodies of STS of Ukraine. Research methods - systematic method of analysis and synthesis of abstraction and comparative analysis. In the research work used as an institutional method, a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis of economic and mathematical methods. The novelty of the work is that this research work is the first in Ukraine a special research on reforming the tax system under implementation of the Tax Code of Ukraine.
