Purpose of the research – To assess antiradiation preventive-therapeutic effect of M. Citrifolia exctraction in the experiment with rats at total and local irradiation. Results and their novelty – For the first time, unidirectional antiradiation effect of two samples of Noni juice (100 % Tabari Noni and 96 % Hawaiian Noni) and absence of this in the sample of Tahitian and Polynesian juice was determined. Optimal dose of the juice and time of administration, which are maximally effective at medium severity radiation sickness at total rat irradiation (6.0 Gy), were determined for the selected juices. Microscopy of inner organs of the animals (thymus, spleen, liver, intestine) and clinical laboratory findings of the amount of morphological blood elements and metabolites proved the positive effect of Noni juices on the irradiated animals. Local administration of Hawaiian Noni juice in two models of local radiation lesion of the skin of the leg and oral cavity of the rats revealed significant preventive-treatment activity at pre-ulcer radiation lesions of the organism (20.0 and 35.0 Gy). A new system of calculation and assessment of the direction and degree of the changes in the accumulated rates of clinical signs of acute radiation sickness in rats which survived and died was worked out, which can promote specification of the mechanism of action of adverse and therapeutic factors.
