The role of PKD1 and PKD2 expression in regulation of tumor cell biology have been revealed. It was found that AGS gastric tumor cell survival does not depend on PKD1 or PKD2 expression. However, PKD2 overexpression in AGS cells enhanced their proliferative activity and clonogenic capacity.
