As a result of the conducted work the analysis of the methods of processing, incineration, utilization, use of mixtures of heavy hydrocarbons and review of constructions of heat generators designed for incinerating the liquid heavy hydrocarbons were conducted. An improved plant for incinerating the vapors of the waste engine oil in a vortex flow of the recirculating air were designed and manufactured. Tests of processes of ignition of the combustion chamber with the optimization of the design of developed heat generator, the experimental studies of velocity and temperature fields over the surface of the porous wick during combustion of hydrocarbon vapors over it with a variation of the heat intensity of the chamber were conducted. It permitted to draw a conclusion of the influence of various design parameters of the combustion chamber on efficient combustion process of liquid heavy hydrocarbons in the swirled flow for reducing emissions of pollutants such as CO and NOx.
