Methods for measuring bulk and surface absorption of optic materials, the absorption of thin film coatings, coating thickness, thermophysical characteristics of optical and structural materials (heat capacity and thermal conductivity) are developed by using photo-thermal effects. An interrelated mathematical model is built and software which allows one by numerical methods to simulate temperature fields and corresponding surface thermo-deformations arising in the studied samples under the laser radiation with arbitrary space-time distribution, including surface and volume absorption in the material is worked out. An approach for a correct understanding of multi-exchange-correlation effects in semiconfined metal located in an external electric field is developed.
