Molecular and crystal structures of 7 polynuclear complexes and coordination polymers of Fe, Co, Ni, Cu were determined. Ethanol sorption by the compounds [Fe2CoO(Piv)6(dpe)1.5]n and [Fe2NiO(Piv)6(dpe)1.5]n (dpe = trans-1,2-bis(4-pyridl)ethylene, Piv = pivalate), as well as sorption of a number of substrates (methanol, ethanol, i-octane) by the complexes of similar structure [Fe2CoO(Piv)6(bipy)1.5]n and [Fe2NiO(Piv)6(bipy)1.5]n (bipy = 4,4'-bipyridine) were studied. It was shown that porous coordination polymers Fe2MO(Piv)6(bipy)1.5 and Fe2MO(Piv)6(dpe)1.5 (M = Co2+, Ni2+) have hydrophobic properties, which can be concluded from better sorption of alkanes compared to alcohols, and among the alcohols - better sorption of ethanol compared to methanol. Magnetic properties (change of magnetic susceptibility vs temperature in the range from 2 to 300 K) of several compounds were studied. It was shown that in the complexes which contain structural element Cu2(L2H)22+ (L2H2 = Schiff base 1:2 from 1,3-diamino-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene and butanedione monoxime) copper(II) ions are ferromagnetically-coupled. On compounds Cu2(L1H)2(H2O)2(dpdc), [Mn2(PhCOO)4(dpe)2]n·n(dpe), [Fe2CoO(Piv)6(dpe)1.5]n and [Fe2NiO(Piv)6(dpe)1.5]n (L1H2 = Schiff base 1:2 from 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl and butanedione monoxime) interactions of 3d metal ions are antiferromagnetic. It was shown that desolvatation of Fe2CoO(Piv)6(bipy)1.5·2DMF (DMF = dimethylformamide) has the influence on magnetic properties at temperatures below 30 K.
