Purpose of the work is analysis of up-to-date level and generalization of the tendencies concerned with methods and technologies of fire fighting using up-to-date technical means. Methods of the research are analytical (gathering of literary data and results of the experimental researches as to tactical and technical quality performance of up-to-date fire engineering, fire ammunition, and quality performance of fire extinguishing substances) and experimental (carrying out of experimental researches of samples of fire engineering, fire ammunition, and fire extinguishing substances). Gathering, systematization, and analyzing of the information concerned with the use of fire extinguishing substances and fire engineering in fire fighting as well as in the fire protection systems of various Ukrainian objects for the period of 2006 to 2009 have been performed. Literary search of the data as to methods and technologies of fire fighting, quality performance of fire extinguishing substances, and tactical and technical quality performance of fire engineering, and experimental researches for the determination of quality performance of some samples of fire ammunition and fire extinguishing substances have been fulfilled. Perspective ways of conducting of applied researches for the purpose of raising efficiency of fire fighting have been revealed. Proposals for the organization of the research works have been developed.
