Karazin popup.description2 The aim of the work is an estimation of the effect of radiation and thermal characteristics of spent nuclear fuel from VVER-1000 reactors on safety of it's long-timed dry storage inside the territory of Ukrainsan NPP's (SNFDS). For the increase of economic efficiency of the use of nuclear fuel on ZNPP the preparation is conducted to exploit nuclear fuel with enhanced burn-up. Thus both fields of radiations from plenty of the filled containers, some of which is loaded with enhanced burn-up spent fuel, and the thermal conditions of storage of such fuel, are not investigational today. The object under investigation is the fields of radiation and the thermal conditions which arise up from enhanced burn-up spent fuel storage during the successive filling of SNFDS platform. The computer simulation of radiation of the filled container is a research method also with calculations and analysis of influencing of initial characteristics of spent fuel on the thermal and radiation safety of it's following storage. As a result of the execution of final stage of project the calculations have been completed the radiation from nuclear spent fuel VVER-1000 reactor, which was loaded in VSC casks, with modified program package SPECTROJAT and created proper database using. There were obtained characteristics of external radiation of spent nuclear fuel on the surfaces of container (dose rate and angular distribution), which allowed to estimate a radiation situation on the ground of depository (in the nearest area) and outwardly from a radiation-protective wall (in a remote area) on adjoining territory of industrial ground of ZNPP.
