Purpose of work: To develop the method of long-term forecasting of characteristics of spring flood, cartographic representation of forecasted modulus coefficients of the maximum runoff of spring flood and their probabilities in the south of Ukraine. Research methods: theoretical analysis of hydrological processes and phenomena, the statistical treatmen of hydrological characteristics, geographical generalization of base and forecast the hydrometeorological variables and their probabilities. Results achieved: scientifically grounded recommendations on spatial long-term forecasts of maximum water flow and layers of the spring flood, the date of its passage, determining the frequency of repeatability of floods in flat rivers in southern Ukraine.
