Kholodny Institute of Botany NASU popup.description2 The results of elaboration of Ukrainian and foreign literature which can be a theoretical basis of possibility of marine algae and fungi composts using as raw materials in technology of growth regulators production and as source of ecologically safe preparations for application in agriculture, plant-growing and medicine are presented. Macroalgae and fresh cast algae wastes were gathered in bays of Sevastopol cast of Black Sea as well as Cystoseira barbata L. grown in maricultute in farm of the Institute of South Seas Biology of NAS of Ukraine without damage for nature. The brown algae of Cystoseira genus were found as the main object for the future investigations on the basis of own and literature results. Special attention was paid to the examination of main carotinoid of brown algae fucoxantin which prevents the cancer tumors appearance due to the cytotoxical and antyprolipherating effects and high pharmacological activity. This is the precondition for future creation of medical and prophylactic preparations on their base.
