The object of the research consists of international standards of basic human rights and legal instruments of their realization in Ukraine. Aforementioned questions were actualized namely by the facts of Universal Declaration 60 years anniversary celebration (2008) and 60 years European Convention on Human Rights celebration (2010). The goal of scientific research paper lies in content characteristics of the Universal (world) and European human rights standards, conducted through modern scientific approaches and methods, - on the basis of the analysis of their practice application by international - control bodies, as well as finding out the level of the correspondence of human rights standards in Ukraine to these international standards. Research methods consists of philosophical principles of anthropology and social determinism, structural, system, logical, comparative general scientific methods, as well as certain special scientific methods (namely, methods of legal norms interpretation, method of legal practice generalization). The conducted research made it possible to find out actual meaning of the list of international-legal acts (namely, meaning of the international Bill on Human Rights, European Convention on Human Rights and practice of their ) application by corresponding international institutions) in order to provide modern interpretation of these widely acknowledged principles and standards of the rights.
