Aim of research - methane absorption spectra, which are used in modulation laser spectroscopy for remote detection and concentration measurements of methane and light hydrocarbons dissolved in water under great pressure in rivers, reservoirs and seas. As a result of research, bechavior of methane absorption spectra in water and air have been studied. Research of methane bubbles formation has been carried out and influence of other dissolved species on this process. The conditions of interaction between methane and water have been researched, as well as laser radiation propogation process within special optical sensor. Mathimatical modelling of the laser modulation spectroscopy method for methane detection was also carried out in this work. During the research work, experimental setups have been designed for research of methane dissolved in water, both for laboratory and practical measurements in water on low depth. As a result of scintific work, the practical possibility of methane and methane hydrate reiconance has been ascertained for the the Black sea.
