Research objective – to develop a machine complex, to reduce labour inputs and expenditure of energy by 15-20% under mechanized growing and harvesting of potato, to develop competitive machines for tilling.Research methods – analytical, experimental, development projects Obtained results and their novelty: it was made on the basis of executed theoretical and experimental investigations and tests: a machine complex for a resource-saving wide-row technology for growing potato, which includes a potato planter СКН-4-01, a cultivator ККУ-4-01, and potato digger КРК-2-01; a process chart for growing and harvesting of potato by using the wide-row technology was made up; propositions were prepared on inclusion of the developed complex into the Machine System; nineteen new makes of implements, machines, and units for tillage when growing potato and other crops were developed; five production implements for tilling were updated.Degree of implementation of results: a complex of experimental machines (potato planter, potato-digger, cultivator) was adopted in an experimental farm “Olenivs’ke” owned by NSC “IAEE” under growing potato with the use of the technology; thirteen developed tilling implements and five updated ones were introduced into a limited liability company of “Krasnyans’ke joint venture “Agromash”, other are tested. Efficiency of products: the use of the developed machine complex in the wide-row technology for growing and harvesting potato in comparison with the traditional technology ensures reducing energy expenditures on operations of potato planting, inter-row cultivation, and harvesting by 10.6% on average and increase of labour productivity of operators by 22.2%; production of the competitive machines for tilling would ensure a profit of 10..15% for the manufacturer.Branch of production – agricultural production and agricultural machinery industry.
