Method of the research is analytical one (analyzing of the information obtained from the interrogation letters as to availability and quality of ozone depleting GFES in the sphere of fire safety and normative documents for gaseous fire extinguishing systems). Results and their novelty are that the register of the data on enterprises, entertainments, and organizations where fire extinguishing systems using ozone depleting GFES ap-plied was actualized. Information on availability of ozone depleting GFES in fire extin-guishing systems has been analyzed. Novelty of the results obtained lies in the determi-nation of the dynamics of changing availability of ozone depleting GFES in Ukraine as well as their ozone depleting "potential". Results of the work allow obtaining informa-tion on GFES, namely: their characteristics, distribution at Ukrainian objects, availabil-ity and quality, and information on the availability and technical state of technical fire extinguishing means, including gaseous fire extinguishing systems (further - GFS) in that they are used, and determination of the main tendencies of circulation of ozone de-pleting GFES in Ukraine.
