The purpose of research - development of a rational system for in vitro conservation of ornamental, subtropical and stone fruit crops by using the tissue and organ culture methods, knowledge about ways of morphogenesis in vitro of investigated genotypes and the results of abiotic and biotic factors influence. Methods of investigation - the tissue and organ culture methods, somatic embryogenesis, organogenesis, direct regeneration of plants, the method of creating of plant genebanks in conditions in vitro, the statistical analysis. Results and novelty - as a result of studies based on the determine of the growth index, the frequency of regeneration and organogenetic index the best explants of ornamental plants and fruits for further in vitro conservation have been revealed. The possibility of specialized culture media, osmotic, retardants, low positive temperatures and light intensity using for in vitro conservation of explants of fruit and ornamental crops valuable genotypes and the establishment of in vitro collections of valuable plant genepool of NBG - NSC has been demonstrated. The method of long-time conservation of fruits and ornamental plants has been developed and 3 stages of the biotechnological process have been identified. The results of research through the establishment of in vitro collections of valuable ornamental plants, subtropical and stone fruits in NBG - NSC have been realized.
