Generally accepted paleontological, soil-ecological, floristical, phytosociological and zoological methods were applied. Traditional methods of biotaxonomy, biostratigraphy and ecology were supplemented by informational tools such as data-bases, computer data analysis and identification, dynamic processes' modelling. Diversity of Podillya regional Early Devonian Agnatha fauna was dealth with in a context of combination of allied faunas of Baltia and Laurentia continents (united in one continent Euroamerica) with analysis of possible origin, way of spreading and their congenerity. According to Conodonts distribution and their phylogenetic relationships the regional conodonts' zones were distinguished in the Podilian section of Podillya's Lower Devon deposits corresponding to duration of certain species of genus Caudicriodus existence. According to the peculiarities of distribution of Volyn-Podillya Cretaceous Gastropods six complexes were distinguished differing by age, systematic composition and taxonomical diversity. Their straight dependens on phacial conditions either during the whole geological period and laterally was established. On the basis of comparative-morphological and ontogenetical study for the first time the evolutional processes in the family Mononchidae were analized and its new taxonomical structure was proposed. New Nemathodes genera and spesies have been described. A study on 58 Protura species from 12 genera and 3 families was conducted. Taxonomical composition and chorological peculiaritis of the Eastern Beskydy Mts.' flora, composed of 1219 species and subspecies were determined. The first classification and identification system and distribution maps of natural and semi-natural grasslands of the Ukrainian Carpathians according to European approaches were made. The concept of informational system of Museum taxonomic data was substantiated and pilot examples of zoological, botanical and paleontological sub-bases were developed which would facilitate solution of fundamental, applied, educational and nature-conservational tasks, connected with biodiversity protection and conservation in the Western Ukraine.
