Maximum of abundance and biomass of benthic organisms in the paleo-Chernaya river has been found; such spatial accumulation of zoobenthos coincides with a peak of organic matter concentration at 28m depth. In the column of the bottom sediments of the Chernaya river paleobed summary content of organic matter increases with depth of the very sediment, while distribution of easily soluble organic matter useful for the benthic organisms communities is characterized with minimum of its content in a layer of 8 - 24m.
