Experimental and pilot-industrial lots of tubes with such high property complex have been produced at NZST YuTiST JSC and Zaporizhzhia Anticorrosion Coating Plant JSC. Taking into account Nuclear Power Engineering Specifications, world-wide trends in the field of production processes and operation of structural materials used in nuclear power plant units have been generalized. Choice of materials for replacement of condensers of South Ukrainian and Zaporizhzhia NPP has been substantiated. Processes of making tubes of austenitic corrosion resistant steels for nuclear power engineering have been improved.According to the requirements of Rules of Derzhgipropromnagliad Agency, Prerequisitions have been created for the introduction in the present-day heat power engineering tubes of the new CrMg steel EP838U with an increased resistance against sulfide corrosion: its physical characteristics in temperature range from 20 to 700 degrees have been defined; weldability has been defined and the test welding technology certification has been carried out; condition of tubes of EP838U after their long-term operation at operating boiler units of Kryvui Rig and Zaporizhzhia heat poswer plants has been studied.
