The aim of work – the discovering of features of structure formation of thin electrochemical coatings; the investigation of thermodynamics and structure formation in Me-H systems with the purpose of the development of new construction and functional materials; the investigation of processes of phase transformations in low-carbon and low-alloyed steels. It is found, that crystallographic texture of electrodeposited tin on steel base can be described by two axial orientations орієнтаціями (101)[hkl] and (100)[hkl], and by random component. The discovering of nanocrystal structure and its inhomogeneity in chrommium coatings and the identification of its texture allow to determine rational parameters for obtaining of chromium coatings. On the basis of literature sources as well as of practical aspects the theory of initiation of a gasous phase as a result of gas-eutectic crystallization was developed, which is important for the development of a new class of composite materials. The differences in kinetics of decomposition of austenite in modern and classic carbon and low-alloyed steels were investigated.
