The examples of application of semantic approach for the analysis of existent building and planning are given. It is shown that the studied of sign, syntactic and pragmatic making architecturally-spatial changes of structure of city environment and semiotics of scale transitions from panoramic perception to perception from near and distant distances in a picture considerably improves project descriptions of the real architectural environment.
