The purpose of the work is production technology reprocessing of low cement castables and refractory corundum silicon carbide mix for thixotropic mass. The research methods are physicochemical, petrographic, physico- and thermo-mechanical ones.The comparison researches of the influence of chamotte filler type (chamotte grade of "ШК" produced by OJSC "Vatutinsky plant of refractories", refractory chamotte of KCK "Alliance" with contain of Al2O3 no less 45 % and Fe2O3 no more 2 %) on the properties of samples from mullite corundum grade of "ССМКНЦБ" and chamotte grade of "ССШНЦБ" low cement castables, as well as researches of possibility of application of vibration-ground fused brown corundum produced by OJSC "Zaporogabraziv" instead alumina grade of "ГК-2" in the composition of low cement mullite corundum castable grade of "ССМКНЦБ" have been carried out. As a result of researches, it has been determined the possibility of application refractory chamotte instead kaolin chamotte grade of "ШК" the same grain in the production of low cement mullite corundum castable grade of "ССМКНЦБ" (total replacement), as well as application of refractory chamotte instead kaolin chamotte grade of "ШК" the same grain in the production of low cement chamotte castable grade of "ССШНЦБ" (partial replacement). The possibility of application vibration-ground fused brown corundum, as well as alumina grade of "ГК-2", in the production of low cement mullite corundum castable grade of "ССМКНЦБ" has been determined too.The use of refractory chamotte and vibration-ground fused brown corundum in the composition of low cement mullite corundum and chamotte castables allows broadening of raw material base for production of the indicated castables.The influence of type of vibration-ground component containing alumina (alumina grade of "ГК-2"; fused corundum produced by OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy"; Hungarian alumina grade of "ALO-Ex 34"; alumina grade of "Г-00" calcined in OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy") on the properties of samples from low cement mullite corundum self-flowing castable of "СМКНЦБС-1" has been researched. As a result of researches, it has been determined the possibility of application of fused corundum produced by OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy", Hungarian alumina grade of "ALO-Ex 34", alumina grade of "Г-00" calcined in OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy", as well as alumina grade of "ГК-2", in the composition of low cement mullite corundum self-flowing castable of "СМКНЦБС-1" as vibration-ground component containing alumina. It allows expanding of raw materials for production of the indicated castable.The influence of type of addition containing quartz (quartz powder with particle size < 20 ?m, ground fume quartz grade of "КН-2" with particle size < 70 m and grade of "A" with particle size < 50 m) and type of component containing alumina with different degree of dispersion (reactive alumina grade of "CTC-40"; fused corundum produced by OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy"; Hungarian alumina grade of "ALO-Ex 34") on the properties of samples from low cement periclase spinel castable for gunning of "СПШНЦОБРТ" has been researched. It has been determined the possibility of application in the composition of low cement periclase spinel castable for gunning of "СПШНЦОБРТ":- ground fume quartz grade of "КН-2" and "A", as well as quartz powder, as addition containing quartz;- vibration-ground Hungarian alumina grade of "ALO-Ex 34", as well as reactive alumina grade of "CTC-40", as component containing alumina. The use of new types of researched materials containing quartz and alumina allows broadening of raw material base for production of the indicated castable.The influence of type of component containing alumina with different degree of dispersion (reactive alumina grade of "CTC-40"; Hungarian alumina grade of "ALO-Ex 34"; reactive alumina produced by Borovichsky plant of refractories) on the properties of refractory corundum silicon carbide mix of "СКККТ" for thixotropic mass and samples from the indicated mass has been researched. The possibility of application of reactive alumina produced by Borovichsky plant of refractories, as well as reactive alumina grade of "CTC-40", in the composition of refractory corundum silicon carbide mix of "СКККТ" has been shown. It has been determined that application of reactive alumina produced by Borovichsky plant of refractories allows obtaining of mix properties which corresponded requirements of technical documentation.In OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy" the pilot batches of low cement mullite corundum self-flowing castable and refractory corundum silicon carbide mix for thixotropic mass, as well as refractory products based on low cement castables, which are intended to metallurgical and machinebuilding plants of Ukraine, have been produced.The work shall be continued in the line of further improvement of production technology of low cement castables and refractory corundum silicon carbide mix for thixotropic mass.
