Objective: to obtain valuable breeding and variety forms of root celery with high technological and qualitative features based on different methodological approaches. In the result of the conducted research at research stations Mayak IOB NAANU a fertile line of root Slavutych (2009) was created, which was passed to the National Center of Genetic Resources of Plants of Ukraine for examination. Line of root celery Slavutych is notable for high root productivity - 39,5 t / ha; commodity crop 37.0 t / ha at marketability of 93,6%. The weight of one marketable root is 330 g, weight of leaves from one plant is 135 g, percentage of leaf mass to root mass is 38%. Biochemical composition: dry matter content is 17.8%, total sugar content is 4.18%, ascorbic acid is 12.60 mg%. Taste features of roots have 5.0 points. The line is notable for a high general and specific ability: ZKS -112%, SKS -119%. Applicability: the male parent form for creation of an interlinear celery hybrid. Areas of use: vegetable growing.
