Objective: to determine the variability of the features of commercial signs of spinach gene pool to develop a method of linear and hybrid seed varieties and varieties with a worked-out seed production system. As a result of breeding work a variety of spinach Fantasia was created. The total green yield is 22 t / ha, what is for 1.8 t / ha more than the standard - Krasen Polissya variety with green mass of one plant 156.1 g (143.1 g - in the standard). Variety has an extended period of validity: 25 days (2 days more than the standard). Productivity of the seeds is 0.49 t / ha at 0.44 t / ha in the standard. Weight of seeds of one plant is 34.8 g (30.9 g - in the standard). The newly created variety of spinach Fantasia by cultivation of greens provided economic efficiency in comparison with the sort of Krasen Polissya 7550 UAH / ha. The variety is suitable for thick planting and mechanized technologies. Is recommended for growing in all areas of Ukraine in the field and under cover. Areas of use: vegetable growing.
