The problem of estimation of wind waves' spectra of a gravity-capillary range in natural condi-tions is considered. The hardware-software complex for registration of instant topography of the sea surface at spatial scales of 0,15 m - 4 m by stereo-photographing is created. Experimental investigations have revealed connection of characteristics of backscattering radar signal with geometrical parameters of breaking waves. It is shown that radar cross-section of breaking wave is proportional to its length. It is found that presence of film on sea surface leads to change of the sea surface share covered with breaking waves. Taking into account change of non-Bragg scat-tering component allows describing the observable radar contrasts caused by surface film. Ex-perimental results on research of thin surface film spreading have shown that there is no obvious dependence of film spreading speed from significant wave height within the range from 0.15 m to 1.03 m. At the same time at wind strengthening the increase in spreading speed of surface film is observed. The conducted research of current state of accumulative forms of the Crimean coast of the Karkinitsky Gulf has shown that accumulative forms of the Western Crimea are develop-ing in the conditions of current increase of Black sea level. The configuration of the gulf and bot-tom orography influences greatly on formation and development of accumulative forms of the Crimean coast.
