Information × Registration Number 0211U007327, 0110U001781 , R & D reports Title The manufacture technology improving of mullite-corundum refractories for glass-melting furnaces and crucibles for melting of high-temperature alloys and trial lots production. popup.stage_title Head Grizuk L., Registration Date 15-04-2011 Organization The open joint stock company " The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named A.S.Berezhnoy" popup.description2 The research subject is crucibles for melting of high-temperature alloys, mullite-corundum refractories for glass-melting furnaces and other thermal units.The purpose of the work is production technology reprocessing of mullite-corundum refractories for glass-melting furnaces and crucibles for melting of high-temperature alloys.The research methods are chemical, physico-mechanical, spectral and petrographic ones.The researches of the influence of time milling aluminas (with -Al2O3 content more than 90 %) of different producers on the particle size of fine milled aluminas and fluidity of suspensions from the indicated aluminas, as well as apparent density of green samples from grained mullite corundum mass and their main properties after firing at temperature 1580°C, have been carried out. The time milling, providing to obtain aluminas with particle size, which corresponded requirements, has been established. The optimal parameters following of .grained mullite mass based on the indicated aluminas, have been determined. Samples, produced from the indicated mass, after firing had high indexes of properties, which corresponded requirements of technical documentation (ТУ У 26.2-00190503-293:2006 with Change № 1 and ТУ У 26.2-00190503-331:2010). Aluminas, investigated in the present work, are recommended for production of mullite-corundum refractories by vibrocasting method. It allows expanding of raw materials base for manufacture of the above mentioned products. In order to decrease firing temperature of mullite-corundum products, the researches of the influence of dispersing aluminas additive and firing temperature on the main properties of mullite-corundum samples have been carried out. The optimal amount of dispersing aluminas additive has been established. Samples, produced with using of the optimal amount of dispersing aluminas additive, at decreasing of firing temperature from 1580°C to 1450°C had high indexes of properties, which approximately equal ones of basic composition. By results of carried out researches, firing temperature of mullite-corundum products has been decreased. As results of carried out in the present work researches, Change № 2 to technological instruction "Manufacturing mullite-corundum refractories by vibrocasting. .The work should be continued in the direction of the improvement of production technology of high-alumina refractories for glass-melting furnaces, crucibles for induction melting of high-temperature alloys and other.
