Methods: visual, measuring, chemical, genetic, statistical, calculating. In the result of breeding work transferred to State servis on right protection for plant 4 new varieties of pumpkins (Balsam, Dolya, Uvilei, Maslyanka) and 1 heterosis hybrid Slava F1. Proposed "Method of valuable of resistent of pumpkin plants to powdery mildew on the content of ascorbic acid in the leaves". Variety Balzam (Cucurbita mochata Duch.). Late-term variety, vegetative period - 125-130 days. Yield - 34-38 t / ha (more than standart by 61%). High quastatory qualities. The dry matter content - 9,1-10,2%, carotene - 16,2-19,2 mg%. The dry matter content - 10-12%, total sugar - 7-9%, carotene - 12-17 mg%. Qustatory valuable - 4,8-5,0 points. Keeping quality during storage 90-96% over 6 months of storage. The economical effect is 1,5 thousand UAH / ha. Variety Maslyanka (Cucurbita pepo L.). Early-term variety, vegetative period - 90-95 days. Gymnosperms. Yield - 30-34 t / ha, seeds - 0,5-0,6 t / ha.
