The system of image fixation during acqusition of data of crack development has been improved with the use of a videosystem and the technique of acquisition od data on cracks growth during testing. Test sensitivity has been improved for crack resistance assessment. Influence of scale values upon crack resistance indices has been assessed, crack resistance of Zr1Nb alloy specimens has been established with the use of various methods of data acquisition and comparison of the obtained results. Crack resistance of specimens prepared from hot-extruded and cold-worked tubes of ZrNb alloy in a wide size range made by a variety of process schedules has been studied, schedules of hot and cold working in making fuel casing tubes in industrial conditions have been corrected.
