It was shown that linking of trinuclear complexes Fe2MO(Piv)6 (M = Co2+, Ni2+) by "bent" bypiridine - 2,6-bis-(4-pyridyl)-4-(4-dimethylaminophenyl)pyridine (L1) - results in self-assembling of 24-nuclear complex {Fe2MO(Piv)6}8{L1}12, which can be considered as empty nanocube (linear size is about 5 nm). Reaction of the same ligand with polynuclear complex Mn6O2(Piv)10 results in rearrangement of hexanuclear metal core and formation of the compound {Mn9O6(Piv)13}2(L1)2. An approach to obtaining of coordination polymers, based on linking of trinuclear complexes Fe2MO(Piv)6 by metal-containing polypyridine bridges - complexes of Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ with Shchiff bases from isoniazide and 2-pyridinecarbaldehyde M(L2)2 was developed. On the basis of comparison of a number of crystal structures based on Fe2MO(Piv)6 and polypyridines (4,4'-bipyridine, trans- and cis-dipyridylethylene, 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane, above mentioned complexes M(L2)2) the dependency of topology and structure of coordination polymer on ligand's geometry was shown. An approach to creation of coordination polymers based on penta- and hexanuclear metellacrowns (Cu5(L3)4)2+ and (Cu5Ln(L4)5)3+ (Н2L3 = malonyliminohydroxamic acid, Н2L4 = glycinehydroxamic acid, Ln3+ = Gd, Pr, Nd), based on linking of these compounds by the anions of different structure was developed. In the result of magnetochemical studies of the systems based on (Cu5Gd(L4)5)3+ it was shown that magnetic properties of coordination polymers are governed by magnetic properties of building blocks in their structure. 2 papers were published on the results of the work.
