Cinematographic novel is built on the requirements of screenwriting, then there is some fixed amount, structure, characteristic of the script, and includes elements that allow you to transfer this work to the screen. At the same time, cinema novel inherent traits and literary works, namely, a special style, in contrast to the scenario where the style is not as significant as, creating a cinematographic novel, the writer focuses primarily on the laws of the prose genre. Attempts to move the literature elements of visual art, namely cinema - it is a sign of a new form of the novel. Such experiment is the natural tendency of the writer to seek new forms of work to express their own ideas. However, the form must not only conform to the aesthetic principles of the writer, but also the needs of today. Contemporary visual art, syncretic in its essence, becomes a cinema. There is a special opportunity to combine literature and film, try to create "the most syncretic" genre - a cinema novel. Thus, the aim of the research project is studying ways to the genesis of cinematographic novel genre in the mid-twentieth century. Achieving the goal requires the following tasks: 1) investigation of the origins of the genre cinematographic novel and define its place in the paradigm of the new novel and the literary process of the twentieth century; 2) analysis of cinematographic novel and its possible structural and stylistic variations in the context of aesthetic-theoretical paradigm of the new novel; 3) the study of philosophy "chose" as a reflection of the synthesis of both verbal and visual culture; 4) analysis techniques of cinema in the new novel; 5) coverage of the functioning of the structures cinema novel of A. Robbe-Grillet and O. Dovzhenko. The main methods of investigation are the typological and historical-comparative methods, if necessary, they are complemented by elements of the hermeneutic, structural, semiotic, historical and functional research strategies. Implementation of the research project "Genre of the cinema novel as the embodiment of synthesis of art (on material of ukrainian and french literature) was realized in the publication of articles which reflect the performance of tasks, namely, the definition of cinematographic novel genre and further implementation of this literary term in turn for the study of the phenomenon and elements of visual culture in a literary work.
