Investigation of mechanisms to and modulate the electrical properties of corticosteroids, is important in studying the processing, transmission and coding of visual information. Role of potassium channels controlled family Kv3.1/Kv3.2 in the high generation of action potentials (AP) by these neurons was established using the method of fixing the current configuration "whole cell" in preparation of an entire rat retina. Determined the parameters of a separate PD and their series that occurred during depolarization GCS, in control and in the presence of relatively low (0.2 mM) concentrations of potassium channel blocker 4-aminopyridine (4-AP). Application blocker significantly reduced the frequency of AP generation in all tested cells, the parameters of the individual PD (duration, rate of repolarization and the amplitude of hyperpolarization) were also significantly changed. The findings suggest that the key role Kv3.1/Kv3.2 channels in the generation of high-frequency tonic impulse GCS eyes of rats. Further work is planned to investigate the effect of blockers on potassium currents and determine whether the cells corresponding mRNA by RT-PCR. Product Description popup.authors Веселовська З.Ф.
