Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The work contains the results of the investigations of department N34 Paton Electric Welding Institute of NAS of Ukraine during the period from August to December 2010 within the framework of project 3.4., the end use of which consists in the help to developers of technology and correspondent equipment to solve the task of State program "Development of chemical-metallurgical industry of pure silicon production at 2009-2012 years" by means of mathematical modeling. The work has been held in four main lines. First one is the ingot formation energy parameters determination on the basis of mathematical modeling of thermal processes at electroinduction fusion at cold crucible. Second one is the prediction of chemical inhomogeneity at big multicrystalline silicon ingot fusing at high withdrawal rates at electroinduction fusion at cold crucible. Third one is the prediction of stress and strains state and ingot integrity ensuring. For this with the help of known regulations of nonisothermal elastic-viscous-plastic medium deformation theory 3D-models have been developed, silicon characteristic of strength of thermal expansion, elastic, creep, instantaneous plastic deformations have been chosen. The calculation investigation according to these models allows to select the ingot cooling temperature conditions lower than ~800 C, at which maximum stresses in ingot are not higher than critical ones. Fourth one is development of molten pool hydromechanics those are formulated both from conditions of hydrostatics and hydrodynamics. On the basis of these models the models of thermal processes will be defined more accurately into iterative way taking into account the molten pool meniscus formation and convection fluxes those in certain way influence on the heat transfer and on the energy parameters choice. Taking into account variety of physical processes those determine the fusing ingot formation and integrity, the development of managing program, that allows to interconnect computer programs of stated investigation four lines and to form the uniform system and to specify all of the models with the help of iterative schemes and corresponding algorithms. For this outside specialists of UkrTsNIIMASh, who has corresponded experience, has been engage in, on contractual relationship.
