The goal of the work is final finishing of work on draft typical professional-qualification characteristics of positions of workers of the Customs Service, generalization of the structure of the Reference-book of typical professional-qualification requirements for positions of officials and workers of the Customs Service of Ukraine for further approval in the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine. Methods of research are system analysis of legal acts of Ukraine which regulate the activities of the Service; norms, standards acting in the sphere of occupational-classification activities; statistical comparison; analytical and comparative analysis. The scientific novelty of this work is in the fact that respective changes and additions have been made, which are stipulated by the reforming of the sector in accordance with existing descriptions of positions of workers of the Service for further creation of legal basis for the working out of detailed position instruction, which will provide unification of principles of determination of position duties of officials of the Customs Service and qualification requirements to certain occupations (positions) of the Reference-book.
