Subject of investigation is reaction of hydroperoxide epoxidation of octene-1, decomposition of tret-butil hydroperoxide in the presence of molibdene boride and the process of catalizer activation during reaction. Work aimis investigation of the lows of reaction of epoxidation of octene-1 by tret-butil hydroperoxide in the presence of molibdene boride catalizer in initial stages of the process, changes of catalizer activity in initial stages of the process and influence of this process on selectivity of epoxide formation. Methods of investigations are physico-chemical (chromatography), chemical (iodometry, base-acid titration), kinetics (calculation of reaction rates, effective constants of reaction rates, catalizer modification degree). Using of investigations. Results of lows of octen-1 epoxidation and the change of catalizer activity in time used in elaborationof kinetic scheme of the process that can be used in education process (theme Kinetics and catalysis, basic conception of the change of catalyzer activity are created during reaction and the way of further investigations on icrease of selectivity of epoxide formation is formulated.
