The increase of resource of work fuel assembly needs development of new alloys of type zirconium- niobium with the promoted maintenance of oxygen and iron. Research of degassing from the samples of zirconium sponge of Ukrainian production is conducted. Obtained information will allow formulating the requirements to the vacuum system of melting equipment for zirconium alloy. Research on smelting of ligature alloys zirconium- niobium is conducted. Some properties of these alloys is investigated. Technology of making of bars of alloys is developed zirconium 1% of niobium from the sponge of magnesium thermal zirconium. The given technology must provide such quality of wares, which do not differ from world analogues.
