Basis for metod of determination of ressistance of growth a crack of fuel elements from the alloy of Zr - 1%Nb, which is creating in Ukraine, chosen method which uses internal pressure for loading of a specimen of fuel element with the specially created a sharpo incision, and the moment of moving - off of crack will be registering by the method of acoustic emission. Begun researches on the ground of applicability of experimental procedures and calculation peocedures of this method for determination of resistance of growth a crack in fuel elements of the Ukrainian production. Devices for creation of sharp incisions on surface of specimen in fuel elements and registration of acoustic emission without measurement noise to create the test stand are developed and are made. The first tests of specimens on a stand were perfomed and values of resistance of growth a crack in the thin - walled fuel elements from the zirconium alloy of Zr-1%Nb were defined/ Works on phase 1 of "Resourse" were implemented in full accordance with the approved shedule.
