Zn1-xMnxO thin films with very low level of manganese doping (< 0.4 %) were investigated. Films were prepared by using atmospheric barrier-torch discharge. EPR measurement in temperature range 4.2-300 K showed that a texture is more clearly defined in the films with low Mn concentration. Thanks to the combination of core-shell architecture and Spark Plasma Sintering an efficient way to control and stabilize oxygen-deficiency-related defects in BT-based ceramics was demonstrated. A close link between the macroscopic dielectric relaxation and the microscopic dynamics of charged defects was clearly evidenced.
