Modeling of asymmetric rolling has been carried out by the finite elements method (FEM), shear strains were estimated in the deformation zone. It is shown restrictions of FEM in tasks of large deformations modeling on micro scale. Method of molecular dynamics - moving cellular automata was considered which eliminates restrictions of FEM in grains fragmentation calculations. Directions of further research are formulated in models creation of metals microstructure and SPD methods development on this basis in rolling production.
