Information × Registration Number 0211U008131, 0108U003665 , R & D reports Title Influence of Silicon Content in NiCrAlY Powder Coating Properties Obtained by Detonation Spray Coating Technique. popup.stage_title Head Kud Irina, Registration Date 05-04-2011 Organization I.N.Frantsevich Institute for Probmens of Materials Sciences Ukrainian Academy of Science popup.description2 As a result of the work, a technological process of obtaining powder of the Ni-Cr-Al-Y-Та-Si superalloy has been developed using powder metallurgy techniques and a procedure for coating deposition from it has been optimized using a detonation gas method, which provides the produced coatings with high reproducibility of the structural-phase and element compositions throughout the whole deposited layer. It was shown that thanks to the presence of Si and Ta additives, the oxidation resistance of the alloys in air at 1100оС can be doubled. Herein the additives practically do not affect the wear resistance of the coatings, whereas their heat resistance under the experiment conditions (200 heat cycles in air at 20-1100оС) increases by 4.5 times. Using the composite Ni-Cr-Al-Y superalloy with alloying additives (2 mass Si and 3.0 mass % Ta) as a intermediate barrier layer in heat-resistant blades of gas turbines, which may result in increasing their operation longevity and saving strategic materials.
