The objective is: to develop a new version of the Rules of the State Archives of Ukraine. Research methods: scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, systematic approach, approach of surveillance, information, comparison, generalization, and others. Theoretical and practical results: development of a new version of the Rules, the implementation of which will consolidate and unify the main provisions of archival technology in the practice of Archives of Ukraine, which store documents of NAF. The novelty is: the Regulations are composed on a new legal basis, taking into account the peculiarities of modern domestic and foreign experience of archival practice. The rules contain triune nature and status of the archives as a repository of documentary cultural property, specific information system and state administration body in a qualitatively new category - National Archive Fond and the entire field of archives and record keeping. The scope of use: archival institutions that provide permanent storage of NAF. According to a study the text of the legal document was prepared for the registration. Effect of implementation: the new version of the rules will promote the unity of the National Archive Fond, the efficiency of its formation, storage, use of documents of NAF and use of archival information.
