Krymskyi Institute of Oriental Studies of NAS of Ukraine, Crimean Branch popup.description2 The purpose of the work was to investigate the influence of Christian culture on ethno-cultural situation at various stages in the history of the Crimea, to study cult monuments that reflect the role of Christianity as a powerful factor of cultural and ideological integration of poly-ethnic population of the south of Ukraine. At the new stage of fulfilling the theme, archive-bibliographic research in scientific organizations of Crimea and Russia were proceeded; the materials on the history of spreading and establishment of Christianity in various centers of the Northern Black Sea Coast and Byzantine Empire, on the history of functioning and research of Christian monuments of the Crimea were studied. Documents reflecting the development of ethno-cultural and socio-economic relations in poly-confessional Crimea after its annexation to the Russian Empire were studied as well. The results of scientific research that help reveal the theme found their presentation in 14 publications and 11 reports at international scientific conferences; 6 works are prepared for publication. The obtained results will be used in further scientific development, to prepare educational programs for high and higher schools, to create museum expositions, catalogues.
