Research objective - determination of parameters of the units when performing main types of tilling; theoretical substantiation of the rational joint operation of a wheeled tractor and crawler in tandem; determination of main characteristics of anthropogenic impact on the environment of these tractors through impact on soil by different methods.The traction vehicle consisting of a wheeled tractor and crawler module was theoretically substantiated. Differential equations for the traction vehicle with two power modules and one tractor were obtained.Carried were experimental work on determination of indicators of soil compaction as a result of the action of track-laying movers on soil and effective technological solutions concerning ensuring the positive dynamics of soil compaction and dynamics of softening and self-compaction of soil tilled in various ways.
