The purpose of the research is preoperational ecological and hydrogeological assessment of the environmental components for estimation of long-term consequences of the Safonovskoyeh deposit impact on them. The basic tasks of the works which were the subject of the research and the results of which are reflected in the research report are as follows: - study of archival materials on the environmental conditions; - the surface water sampling; - drilling of exploration holes; - rocks and groundwater sampling; - determination of the filtration properties of the soil of the geological environment; - laboratory determination of the soil, groundwater and surface water, and bottom sediment composition; - dosimetric survey of the deposit sanitary-hygienic area and control area.
