Its restructure is presently planned for its different use in future. The purpose of the research is estimation of long-term impact on the groundwater of tailings storage facility "KBZh". The main tasks of the work which are subject to the research are as follows: - gathering and analysis of the archived materials on hydrogeological conditions in the district of the tailings storage facility; - well-drilling and sampling of soil for determination of its physical properties; - groundwater and surface water sampling for determination of their chemical and radio-chemical composition. Method of the research is hydrogeological survey. The hydrogeological survey consisted of complex of research including drilling and cameral treatment. The results of the work will allow preparing basic data for hydrodynamic and hydrochemical situation modelling in the district of the tailings storage facility after the capacity expansion.
