Purpose of work is estimation of criminogenic situation in Ukraine in 2010, determine basic tendencies of criminality during the noted period, factors which stipulate them, prognostication of the situation of criminality on subsequent years. Research methods: logic analysis of literary sources, statistical analysis, public opinion poll, systems analysis. Got results: the basic tendencies of criminality are characterized in Ukraine in 2002-2010; public opinion of citizens in relation to the state of criminality and activity of militia on the fight against her is researched; the prognosis of criminality in Ukraine on the nearest years is prepared. Work of such maintenance is prepared in the country for the first time. Material is used by MIA of Ukraine for estimation of criminogenic situation in the state and decision-making.
