A research purpose consists in the exposure of psychological features of providing of guard of law and order and providing of public safety in the conditions of lead through of mass sporting measures of EURO-2012. Research methods: theoretical search with the purpose of analysis, comparison, classification and systematization of experimental information; empiric character; in particular designs, expert estimations. Got results: in methodical recommendations psychological features, forms and methods of counteraction to the crowd, and also feature of providing of public safety, stopping of groups offences, are reflected during the lead through in Ukraine of final part of championship of Europe on football in 2012; generalized and systematized algorithms of correct actions of workers of militia during providing of law and order during the lead through of mass measures; foreign experience police is analyzed; the specific of warning of possible extremist and terrorist displays is exposed. Work of such maintenance is carried out in a country first. Results of research work are inculcated in practical activity of Department of public safety of ministry of internal affairs of Ukraine.
